24-year-old pedestrian Visva Varathakumar died after being hit by a car in Philadelphia's Francisville area near Fairmount on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred as Varathakumar attempted to cross Broad Street, landing on the hood of the car and hitting his head on the windshield. The 24-year-old female driver has not yet been charged, and an investigation is ongoing.
