24-year-old Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone set a new world record in the women's 400m hurdles at the U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon, lowering her previous record by .03 seconds. McLaughlin-Levrone ran the event in 50.65 seconds, winning by nearly two seconds and leading from start to finish. Four of her world records have been set at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.
