23-year-old Mateo Tapia was shot during a robbery attempt in an Omaha apartment complex parking lot near 110th and Cottonwood Plaza. The suspect, a Black male in a dark hooded sweatshirt, demanded money, fought with Tapia, and then shot him with a firearm. Tapia's injury is not life-threatening. The suspect remains unidentified, and Omaha Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
