23-year-old Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson confirmed his participation in the 2024 Home Run Derby, making him the first participant announced for the event. The Orioles' leader in home runs and RBIs, Henderson was drafted in 2019 and won the AL Rookie of the Year award in 2023. The Home Run Derby will take place on July 15 as part of All-Star festivities at Globe Life Field in Texas.
