3-year-old from Tennessee dies in Jefferson County car crash; 3 others seriously injured. A sedan with 4 occupants, all from Memphis, hit an object in the road on Interstate 55 at 4:40 a.m. before running off the road and striking a tree. The 3-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, while others were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. All passengers were wearing seatbelts except the 32-year-old driver.
