WestJet maintenance workers, represented by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), have agreed to withdraw strike action and return to work while their union negotiates a new contract with the company. The strike action was halted after a deal was reached with WestJet. Despite the agreement, the airline expects disruptions to continue.
