Unaddressed inequities have kept Aotearoa New Zealand's perinatal death rates stagnant for 15 years, according to the 16th Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Review Committee report. The report, released by Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality & Safety Commission, covers 2006–21 and is the first to examine COVID-19 infections in pregnancy.
