Steve McQueen's "Blitz," starring Saoirse Ronan, will open the 68th BFI London Film Festival October 9 at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall. The film follows a 9-year-old boy, George, who is sent to safety in the English countryside during WWII and returns to search for his mother and grandfather in East London. The movie will be released in select cinemas from November 1 before streaming globally on Apple.
