Tetsuya Naito reclaimed the IWGP World Heavyweight title from Jon Moxley at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event. Moxley appeared to have won with a two-count near-fall, but a slower count from referee "Red Shoes" Unno allowed Naito to recover and secure the win with two Destino finishers. Naito's victory avenges his previous loss to Moxley in April and ends Moxley's brief title run of 79 days.
