South Korea's factory activity saw its fastest growth in 26 months in June due to increased global demand, reaching the highest Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) since April 2022. Exports grew for the ninth consecutive month, up 5.1% year-on-year to $57bn, while imports dropped 7.5% to $49bn. Exports to the US and China increased by 14.7% and 1.8% respectively. The trade surplus for 13 consecutive months contributed to a trade surplus of $8bn.
