South Africa's largest pharmacy group, Clicks, plans to sell its manufacturing subsidiary Unicorn Pharmaceuticals by the end of the month, following a court ruling in favor of the Independent Community Pharmacy Association. The ruling stated that Clicks' ownership of Unicorn violated regulations prohibiting pharmacies from owning drug manufacturers. The sale is expected to allow Clicks to obtain new pharmacy licenses, which had been halted by the health ministry.
