Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council staged a walkout over the treasury members' attempt to move a resolution congratulating BJP MLA & BCCI Treasurer Ashish Shelar, not the Indian cricket team, for winning the T20 World Cup. Leader of Opposition, Ambadas Danve, claimed the resolution should have congratulated the Indian team, not Shelar. Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe did not allow opposition members to speak on the issue.
