Japanese carmakers, facing declining sales and market share in China, are accelerating electrification efforts and partnering with Chinese tech companies. Nissan halted production at its Changzhou plant and plans to produce EVs for Dongfeng's Voyah brand, while Honda launched an all-electric brand called Ye, partnering with Chinese specialists in supply chain.
