Georgian PM praises national football team for Euro 2024 debut, despite 4-1 loss to Spain.
Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, praised the national football team for their historic performance at Euro 2024, despite their exit after a 4-1 defeat to Spain. This was the first time in over 30 years that Georgian football qualified for a European Championship and finished among the top 16 teams in their debut appearance. The government thanked the team for their "Georgian miracle" and celebrated with fireworks.
