An emu named Keith wandering near DeWinton was taken in by Cobb's Exotic Animal Rescue after its owner didn't claim it.
An emu found wandering near DeWinton, just south of Calgary, has been taken in by Cobb's Exotic Animal Rescue after its owner failed to come forward. The Australian bird, named Keith, was captured on June 19 and housed by the Alberta Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Cobb's Exotic Animal Rescue agreed to house the emu until its owner is found, as they have the necessary space and resources.
