Elk Point, Alberta takes part in Canada Day celebrations to attempt breaking a Chinese drumming world record on July 1. The Alberta segment of the National Chinese Congress Drumming event, with public participation, aims to set a new simultaneous drumming record in Guinness World Records. This multicultural event was initiated by Mayor Parrish Tung's visit with members of the congress in Edmonton.
