Boeing delivers first CH-47F Block II Chinook helicopter to U.S. Army for fleet modernization.
Boeing has delivered the first CH-47F Block II Chinook helicopter to the U.S. Army, a modernization effort to upgrade 465 aircraft in the fleet. The Block II Chinook offers improved drivetrain, airframe, and fuel system, resulting in an additional 4,000lbs max gross weight and increased mission radius for most payloads. The upgraded design also supports future technology upgrades.
