BBC Scotland Director Steve Carson to step down in autumn, joining RTE in Dublin.

BBC Scotland Director Steve Carson is set to step down in the autumn after seven years in the country and 11 years with the broadcaster. Carson will leave in mid-September to take up a new role in Dublin with the Republic of Ireland's public service broadcaster, RTE. He originally joined the BBC in 2013 as head of BBC Northern Ireland Productions and later became Director of BBC Scotland in July 2020.
