45-year-old New Town man injured after crashing pickup into hay bales during chase; both driver and passenger not wearing seat belts. A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop the man for a traffic violation, leading to a pursuit on Highway 2. The vehicle was disabled with spikes, then drove into a field and crashed into a large stack of round bales. Both driver and passenger, a 45-year-old Stanley woman, were seriously injured and taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The driver was charged with driving.
