The Buffalo Sabres have acquired 25-year-old pending-restricted free agent winger Beck Malenstyn from the Washington Capitals, in exchange for Pick 43 in the 2024 NHL Draft. Malenstyn, who has spent time in the NHL and AHL, is set to serve as relief for the Sabres. Washington now has one less contract to worry about, as they sit just two contracts short of a full NHL roster.
