32-year-old Australian rugby legend Michael Hooper has announced his retirement from the sport after being omitted from the national sevens team for the Paris Olympics. Hooper, Australia's longest-serving skipper, led the Wallabies 69 times and captained them to the 2014 title. Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh praised Hooper for his legacy, while the sevens coach is expected to name a squad on Wednesday.
