Union government extends Smart City Mission project deadlines in Telangana to March 2025 at CM A. Revanth Reddy's request.
The Union government has extended the deadline for completing two Smart City Mission projects in Telangana to March 2025, previously set to end on June 30. The decision follows an appeal from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The extension allows funding for ongoing projects on a first-come, first-served basis until September. As of now, Telangana has completed 45 smart city-related works in Warangal and 25 in Karimnagar, with another 66 and 22 projects under progress, respectively, at a cost of ₹287 crore.
