Tobacco exporters in India have requested the government to extend the RoDTEP export duty refund scheme to boost outbound shipments. During a meeting with Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, traders highlighted that tobacco exporters are not covered by any scheme providing export incentives. They also urged the government to address unauthorized production and use of chewing tobacco in India, which results in significant revenue loss.
