Romania receives 3 more Norwegian F-16s, bringing the total to 9 of 32 purchased, for its "Multirole Aircraft of the Air Force" program.

Romania received three additional Norwegian F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, totaling nine out of 32 purchased, at the 71st General Emanoil Ionescu Air Base. These aircraft will be part of the 48th Fighter Squadron, with the remaining 23 expected by 2025. The deal completes the first stage of Romania's "Multirole Aircraft of the Air Force" program, enhancing NATO's eastern flank security and providing a transition to fifth-generation F-35 aircraft in a decade.
