Indian President, Home Minister, and West Bengal Chief Minister paid tribute to 1855 Santhal rebellion martyrs on Hul Diwas.

Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to the martyrs of the 1855 Santhal rebellion on Hul Diwas. Led by Sidho Murmu and Kanho Murmu, the rebellion involved around 10,000 Santhal tribe members fighting against the British for their deprived lands. Hul Diwas is observed annually in India to remember their bravery and resistance.
