NSW Government plans to revive night-life by introducing new noise complaint rules, set to prioritise first occupants, and increasing the number of people required to make a statutory complaint. From July 1, the reforms aim to protect venues from serial complainants. Additionally, the government will provide grants for soundproofing to help venues host more live music with minimal noise impact on neighbors.
