Winnipeg Jets draft Swedish defenceman Alfons Freij (37th overall) in the 2nd round, winger Kevin He (109th) from China in the 4th, Finnish forward Markus Loponen in the 5th, and Canadian centre Kieron Walton in the 6th round of the 2024 NHL Draft. Freij played with Vaxjo Lakers in Sweden's J20 Nationell league, scoring 14 goals and 19 assists in 40 games. He also contributed six points during Sweden's U18 World Championship gold-medal run.
