The Montana Creek Fire in Alaska, initially reported on Saturday, has grown from 1/4 acre to 100 acres due to dry conditions. Multiple agencies, including smokejumpers and helicopters, are working to control the blaze between Mile 94 and 98 on the Parks Highway. The highway remains open, but drivers are advised to exercise caution. The Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center is offering shelter for those affected, and burn suspensions continue in other parts of Alaska.
