Police seized over R40m worth of fake goods in June, arresting four suspects in operations to crackdown on counterfeit products. Over 40,000 counterfeit items were confiscated in various raids, including items imitating well-known brands. The latest raid in the Johannesburg CBD resulted in the seizure of over 15,000 counterfeit items worth R12.8m.
