Kingston Water Taxi, a free ferry service linking LaSalle Causeway sides, postponed its launch due to high winds and rain. Initially slated for Saturday, the service will now debut on Canada Day. Strong winds, with gusts reaching 85 km/h, made conditions unsafe for the Canadian-made aluminum tri-hull water taxi, powered by a 150 horsepower motor.
