Chennai airport's souvenir shop was used to smuggle 267 kg gold worth ₹167 crore over two months. Customs officials busted a gold smuggling syndicate and arrested nine people, including a YouTuber who owned the shop, and two transit passengers. The syndicate operated by renting the Airhub shop and concealing gold in paste form, which was received from transit passengers and concealed in staff members' bodies.
