Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) reported a record-breaking electricity demand of 16,089 MW on June 26, surpassing the previous record of 15,933 MW set on June 19. The second half of June saw high peak demand ranging from 15,000 MW to 15,800 MW. PSPCL attributed this to proactive measures and experienced a 28% jump in demand between June 1 and June 26 compared to the same period last year.
