Former LP Presidential Campaign Council Director-General Dr Doyin Okupe believes the proposed single-tenure rotational presidency for Nigeria is a good idea, but should not be approached hastily. A bill introduced by 35 members of the House of Representatives seeks a six-year single term for the President and state governors, with rotation of the presidency among the six geopolitical zones. Mexico is one of the few countries operating a similar system.
