885 health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, have been allocated to undergo medical internships and community services in South Africa. The allocation is part of efforts to address the country's health professional shortage, which is expected to reach 97,000 health workers by 2025. The Department of Health has concluded the allocation process for the mid-year cycle, scheduled to begin on 17 July.
