Former French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been summoned for a possible indictment in relation to an investigation into alleged Libyan funding for her husband Nicolas Sarkozy's 2007 presidential campaign. Bruni-Sarkozy is suspected of concealment of witness tampering and involvement in an attempt to bribe Lebanese judicial personnel, among other violations. Her husband, former French President Sarkozy, is already charged with illegal witness tampering as part of the probe into whether he took money from late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi to fund his campaign.
