Australian taxpayers are set to see tax cuts kick in, with an average full-time worker earning $98,220 receiving a cut of $2134 a year, or $41 a week. Despite higher living expenses such as mortgages and rents, most shoppers polled by AAP said they would use the extra money for essentials like groceries. Comparison Market's David Koch warns the tax cuts may not be noticeable if interest rates rise.
