Affecting 2-3% of the population, the risk increases with factors like atherosclerosis, hypertension, and genetic deficiencies. Aortic aneurysms, the ballooning of the major blood vessel aorta, rank just behind heart attacks and cardiac arrests as a fatal heart condition.
