40-year-old woman, Dudala Nagalakshmi, attempted suicide by jumping into the Godavari River in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, following a family dispute. Fishermen and police worked together to rescue her, with local fishermen arriving by boat to save her from the river. The police then took Nagalakshmi to the station for counselling and handed her over to her relatives.
