8-year-old boy killed by crocodile in Odisha's Angul district: An eight-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile while playing near the Mahanadi River in Tikarpada, a wildlife sanctuary. Locals and fire brigade personnel conducted a search operation, and the boy's body was found later. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed grief over the incident and announced a Rs 6 lakh compensation for the family.
