West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called for the judiciary to be free from political biases, emphasizing that it must be pure, honest and sacred. Addressing the Regional Conference of the National Judicial Academy in Kolkata, Banerjee urged for secrecy to be maintained within the judicial system. The Chief Minister also highlighted the 88 fast-track courts in West Bengal, 55 of which are for women, and the state's 99 human rights courts.
