6 Uttar Pradesh PWD and Jal Nigam officials suspended for negligence in Ram Path construction, leading to road damage and waterlogging.
The Uttar Pradesh government suspended six officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam for negligence in constructing a 14-km Ram Path and laying sewer lines in Ayodhya. Rain caused damage to patches of the road, and nearly 15 by-lanes and streets along the Ram Path were severely waterlogged. The state government also issued a notice to the contractor firm Bhuvan Infracom Private Limited.
