US judge allows most of SEC's lawsuit against Binance and Changpeng Zhao to proceed.
A US judge has ruled that the majority of the SEC's lawsuit against Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, and co-founder Changpeng Zhao can proceed. Out of 13 counts, one concerning sales of BUSD and a part of a count relating to sales of BNB were dismissed, while the other 10 and two partially were allowed. The SEC's lawsuit accuses Binance of mishandling customer funds, misleading investors and regulators, and breaking securities rules.
