UK MoD paid £12m in compensation to 82 alleged victims of Troubles military operations in Northern Ireland.
The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has paid over £12m in compensation to 82 alleged victims of British military operations during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Taxpayer funds were given to people wounded by British troops or relatives of those injured or killed. The MoD stated it had legal liability to make the payments. The compensation covers the period from 2019/20 to 2023/24.
