Southern Oregon Coast razor clamming reopens between Coos Bay and California border due to low biotoxin levels.
Southern Oregon Coast razor clamming has reopened between Coos Bay and the California border after two consecutive tests showed biotoxin levels below the closure limit. Razor clamming remains closed from Yachats to Coos Bay for high levels of paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) and domoic acid, while mussel harvest remains closed coastwide. Shellfish Safety Hotline (1-800-448-2474) should be consulted before harvesting shellfish.
