Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino resumed its 2024 race schedule with the Rainbow Futurity Trials on Friday, after the Salt and South Fork fires above 70% containment. General Manager Rick Baugh says that race operations must continue to support the Quarter Horse industry from various states and the 1000 employees at the track. Continuing the racing season has a significant impact on the regional industry.
