13 years after his initial conviction, the Nigerian Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of ex-Bank PHB Managing Director, Francis Atuche, for his role in a N25.7bn ($57m) fraud case. Atuche's initial 12-year sentence, handed down by the Lagos High Court, was reduced to six years by the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court's unanimous decision brings finality to a long-standing legal battle that spanned over 13 years.
