Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha promotes academic-driven startups as key for economic transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the potential of academic-driven startups to transform Jammu and Kashmir's economy by fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in educational institutions. Addressing the National Seminar on the Role of Academic-driven Startups in Developing Economy of J&K UT (RASE 2024) at NIT Srinagar, Sinha stated that startups are powerful instruments to bridge the gap between universities and industries, meeting two important objectives: employment generation and profit generation. Sinha encouraged young entrepreneurs to focus on 'problem first' rather than 'product first' to accelerate the process of national development and encourage entrepreneurial spirit among students.
