Lake Louise RCMP is investigating an arson case where a tree was deliberately set on fire on June 27 near a walking path, residential areas, and a railway line. The fire risk in the national parks is currently low, but officials warn against lighting fires outside designated fire pits as it can carry a fine of up to $25,000. The Lake Louise Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and removed the tree to prevent re-ignition.
