8 homeless mothers in San Francisco participate in a pilot program by a local nonprofit, learning to advocate for families experiencing homelessness. The mothers spent six months with Compass Family Services, learning about the city's budget process and homeless services system. Since January, they have met regularly to share their stories and experiences, empowering themselves and others in similar situations.
