FSIB recommends Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as the next SBI chairman, succeeding Dinesh Kumar Khara.
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) recommended senior-most SBI managing director Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as the next chairman of India's largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI). Setty will succeed Dinesh Kumar Khara, who is set to retire on August 28 when he turns 63. FSIB interviewed three managing directors for the position and selected Setty based on his performance and overall experience. The proposal now goes to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for final approval.
